Jerome is a fashion designer, that tackles the issue of third culture individuals faces. His approach in his designs are upcycling old garments, and engage with a sustainable approach by gathering old unwanted garments from friends and family, or look for end-of-roll fabrics, to work on. Jerome believes that everyone belongs some where and fashion is a medium for everyone to express their individuality.

The collection “White Canvas”, uses the white t-shirt as a form of communication medium for the wearer’s identity. These t-shirts are combined with end of roll fabrics, which are used to repurposed and transformed into various garments of this collection. The use of upcycling and deconstruction techniques not only promotes sustainability, but also reduces waste, and allows for a diverse range of textures and colours to be incorporated. The resulting pieces are unique and one-of-a-kind, reflecting the individuality and complexity of the third culture identity. “White Canvas” takes on an abstract take on sustainable fashion, promoting individuality and sustainability through the use of upcycling and deconstruction techniques and the concept of the third culture identity.
