There is Tomorrow to us

Many fashion brands are introducing eco-friendly and sustainable products in our world today, revealing meaningful voices for environmental protection. This trend has led to efforts to point out problems in a fast fashion and slow down the acceleration of environmental pollution, especially products made with time-consuming techniques such as natural dyeing and weaving are in the spotlight.

With accountability as a designer, my collection informs experimental and craftsmanship designs with the slogan “There is Tomorrow to us“ to repeat the virtuous cycle of the fashion industry. The present moment becomes part of the past and part of the future becomes the present again. It’s fearful and invisible, but everyone's efforts toward tomorrow can make a big difference. I reflected on the philosophy of time called ‘Eternalism’, giving the existence of space in time, and expressing that tomorrow becomes eternity by being in the same space even though time is different.

As time goes by with a clear moment of moving into the future, I drew the figures created in connection with the word "tomorrow" that combines abstract painting and clear line drawing. Hand painting and natural dyeing techniques, which are always interesting, make people feel the scarcity and value of time-consuming techniques. Jackets, dresses, knitwear, and balaclava have a warm and calm sensibility and show unbalanced cutting and uniformity through the back panel and belts.
